This is a guardian spirit forever yours, quiet yet noble.
This art piece gives you protection energy, it is the empowerment of your inner harmony.
Cats are traditional guardians in households of southwestern China. At the center of the (tile) roof of each traditional home, a ceramic cat with an wild-open mouth is placed, sitting and gazing into the distance. It serves to ward off evil spirits and attract wealth for the family. As a gift, it represents protection and blessings; kept for oneself, it stands for self-nurturing and inner harmony.
Exclusively signed by VIVIDAION, female artist Liang Yu personally designs and handcrafts each piece.
The tile cat totem quietly appears on the plate or perches on its edge, like a vigilant glance. It embodies guardianship, watchfulness, and the inheritance of memories. The plate’s delicate texture makes it ideal for serving desserts, fruits, nuts, and other refined foods. It plays the starring role in presentation and represents a fusion of Eastern culture and modern aesthetics.
The making process mirrors the artist’s spirit: peaceful, resolute, powerful, yet endowed with an undeniable allure.Through sincerity and intuition, the artist creates a blessing and protection meant only for you; it may also be given to a cherished loved one, sharing a deep and serene strength.
It’s not a dazzling color, but a subtle radiance. It is like the sky revealed after thin clouds have drifted away: gentle, serene, and quietly full of tension. Rooted in the traditions of Eastern ceramics, it resonates with the soul's longing for simplicity in depth.Ideal for those who love minimalism, seek tranquility, and appreciate an aesthetic of sensibility.
The clay body undergoes two firings. It is first fired at 800°C to form pottery, then coated with glaze and fired again at 1200°C to transform into porcelain. The complete crafting process takes around 24 days.Due to the need for two firings, only about half of the clay forms successfully become ceramic works. Pieces that are too small or too large have an even lower success rate.Due to the unpredictable nature of glaze colors during firing, the final color remains unknown until the kiln is opened. The accessories are chosen by the artist based on their personal connection to each piece, giving it a unique spirit and character. No two are the same, and none are replicated.Carefully maintained, it can be cherished and passed down through generations.
