The “Phantoms of the Mythic Beasts” collection is an exclusive creation for VIVIDAION by independent designer Huang Meng, inspired by the traditional tile cat motifs of Yunnan. Through miniature ceramic sculpture and experimental glaze techniques, he reinterprets this ancient symbol of protection into four wearable amulets.
Each piece explores the meaning of “guardianship” through the language of modern ceramics — where glaze, form, and the chance of fire converge to shape the soul of the work.
Huang Meng’s creations embrace the “marks of time” and the “beauty of imperfection” in handcraft. Within each small form lies emotional tension and the warmth of materiality. Worn as bracelet, pendant, or charm, the ancient guardian comes from the roof of old houses into your palm to protect you in daily life.
